In 2012 a friend and I started a project to walk, unsupported and entirely on foot, from Cardiff, Wales, to Cardiff, New South Wales, Australia.

It involved a complete traverse of the European continent, a freezing trek through Ukraine and Russia during Soviet Winter, followed by a blisteringly hot crossing of the desolate Kazakh Steppe in summer, arriving at the foot of the Tien-Shan mountains in Kyrgyzstan.

There, due to various paperwork issues, I was forced home, with a plan to return to the walk at a later date.

I returned to the project in Australia to complete the walk from Perth to Cardiff (just north of Sydney).

Unfortunately, my friend has since locked me out of all the online content I created, and claimed it all as his own. My photos were stored with his family and I have yet to receive them back. The following images are recovered from a blog I kept throughout the walk.
